The New York Jets are pursuing a future Hall of Fame quarterback in Aaron Rodgers, but one of their current quarterbacks is in the spotlight thanks to a tweet from an opposing player. After Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall of the Jets posted a video burning a signature Packers “cheesehead,” Parsons posted his reaction – and brought Wilson into the conversation in the process.

Parsons posted several crying with laughter emojis, along with a GIF of Wilson at the 2021 NFL Draft. In the GIF, Wilson is seen standing nervously while posing for a photo with other prospects on draft night. Parsons’ post is highlighting the opinion of many Jets fans – and apparently more than a few Jets players – that it’s time to move on from Wilson in favor of Rodgers.
It may be considered a drastic move to abandon the development of a young quarterback entering his third season in favor of one who’s nearly 40 years old, but when the veteran is one of the best quarterbacks of his generation, the rules are a little different.
After a rough first few years in the NFL, Wilson should probably be used to fans, media members and fellow players piling on. He was famously booed during an abysmal performance in a Thursday Night Football game agains the Jaguars last season.
