KC Current is already in high waves after they also announced NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes has the co-owner. “I am thankful for the chance to join my wife as part of the Kansas City Current’s ownership team,” said Mahomes to the Current.
The Kansas City quarterback joins his wife, Brittany, as a member of the club’s ownership. His wife was also a player at the University of Texas-Tyler and has been a part of the team since its foundation.

“Brittany and the Longs have done an incredible job building a world-class organization. I am excited to join another championship-caliber club as it continues to make history.” This is the first time that Mahomes has become an owner of a club. He also owns a small percentage of Sporting KC. Besides this, he also has a stake in the city’s Major League Baseball side, the Kansas City Royals.
Patrick has been an influential figure in the city. The 27-year-old has a remarkable impression with the recent establishment of an outlet of the Whataburger food chain.
