Stephen Curry is currently one of the best players in the NBA and his scoring and playmaking skills make him a star athlete in the basketball world, but a recent confession has generated a wave of discussion.
During his appearance on JJ Redick’s podcast, ‘The old man and the three’, he opened up about the time he first met LeBron James, arguably the NBA’s best-known and most media-friendly basketball player.
Curry went to watch ‘King’ play at his college and a couple of years later they were facing each other in the NBA Finals.
LeBron’s message to Curry
“I still have at my parents’ house in North Carolina a LeBron jersey on my bedroom wall,” he confessed.
“The next year he went to Charlotte, I went to the game and he signed the jersey.
“And he wrote ‘best shooter in North Carolina’ or something like that. And I kept it.”
Struggles this year
Both players have been the most outstanding athletes of the last decade in the world’s best basketball league and every time they face each other it is a spectacle for the planet.
However, currently, results on the court are not going their way as the Warriors remain out of the Playoffs with a negative balance of 8-10 and for now the team’s form is not very good.
On the other hand, the Lakers are in an even worse situation and are positioned in the penultimate position with just five wins out of a possible 16, far from their target.
